Our Story – How Ginger Bear Farms Began
 

Ginger Bear Farms began with one very special dog—our first Bernese Mountain Dog, Ginger Bear. She stole our hearts from the very beginning. Sadly, Ginger's life was cut short, and we lost her at just three years old. Her loss was heartbreaking, but it also inspired us to learn more about the breed and the importance of breeding for health and longevity.
 

After a year without a Berner, we welcomed Bailey Bear and Oliver Bear into our family. They quickly reminded us why we loved the breed so much. We raised a couple of litters with them, and Bailey blessed us with an incredible 12 years—a testament to the long, healthy life we strive to produce in every puppy.

Over the years, our family has continued to grow with Hazel Bear, Yogi Bear, Maple Bear, and Mocha Bear. Every one of our Berners proudly carries "Bear" as their surname, honoring the dog that started it all.
 

One of the greatest joys of raising puppies is watching families meet our dogs. We believe it's important for prospective owners to spend time with both the parents and the puppies. Getting to know each family's lifestyle and personality helps us match every puppy with the home where they'll thrive.
 

At Ginger Bear Farms, our goal is to raise healthy, well-socialized, pet-quality companions that become cherished members of the family and enjoy long, happy, adventure-filled lives. We share our knowledge of veterinary care, nutrition, and training to help every puppy get the best possible start.
 

The relationship doesn't end when a puppy goes home. Staying connected with the families who welcome a Ginger Bear Farms puppy into their lives is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We love watching our puppies grow and are always here as a resource throughout their lives.
